Today’s fluff is coming back with a better offer
Bradley Barcola is firmly in Liverpool’s sights as they look to rebuild their attack in the post-Mohamed Salah era. The two-time Champions League winner reportedly wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain, and Anfield is his preferred destination, though Arsenal have apparently been making eyes at the France international too. For their part PSG are thought to be closing on deals for Barcelona’s World Cup winner Ferran Torres and the Ajax winger Mika Godts, though the 21-year-old Belgium international had talked at the weekend of “putting an end” to rumours that he was refusing to play for Ajax in order to force a move.
England’s World Cup cult hero Djed Spence could soon be exhibiting his marauding runs and eye-catching slide tackles in Serie A. Inter are interested in a £25.6m move for the Tottenham full-back, who fancies a move to San Siro and might find himself struggling for regular first-team football in north London after Roberto De Zerbi’s busy summer in the market.
Napoli are stepping up their interest in Gabriel Jesus, who could be available for around €20m (£17m). With the Arsenal striker entering the final year of his contract at the Emirates and first-team opportunities with the English champions likely to be limited, Jesus could be amenable to a move. Arsenal meanwhile are keen on Jules Koundé, reports the Mirror, but an awful lot of ifs and ands are in play around the Barcelona and France full-back. For one Koundé is happy to stay at the Camp Nou, even if Barça might be prepared to cash in on a player with four years remaining on his contract, and the Spanish champions’ preferred replacement, Pedro Porro, has five years to go on his after recently signing a new deal with Tottenham.
