Former world number one tennis player Ash Barty has officially signed on for the Icons Cup South Africa, set for the prestigious Links at Fancourt in George this December.
The major new amateur golf exhibition tournament comes to South African shores from December 11 to 13, bringing together legends across various sporting codes to battle it out on the fairways.
Featuring a high-stakes, team-versus-team match-play format, the event pits Team South Africa against Team World. Once full rosters are confirmed, a total of 28 players will take to the course.
Playing off an impressive 2 handicap, Barty stands out as one of the field's sharpest players and brings proven Icons Series experience to Team World.
