Sundar Pichai posted the number on X on 11 August 2026, hours before Google's Made by Google keynote: the Gemini app had passed 1 billion monthly active users. Pichai placed it alongside Search, Gmail, Android, Maps, Chrome, Play and YouTube, describing Gemini as "our fastest growing product ever, and our 14th to hit the 1B-user mark". Voice now carries 63 per cent of the traffic, the app generates 150 million images a day, and more than 100 million of the users sit on Apple hardware.
