Finland’s embassy in New Delhi has warned Indian jobseekers about fraudulent employment offers linked to fake Finnish work permits after receiving a large number of inquiries about suspicious recruitment documents.

The embassy said scammers have been posing as recruitment agents for Finnish companies and charging applicants for jobs, residence permits and related services. It urged jobseekers to check any offer carefully before sending money or personal information.

According to the embassy, Finnish companies do not charge applicants for job offers. Official residence permit fees are paid through the Finnish Immigration Service, known as Migri.

The embassy also stressed that private recruitment agencies do not have the authority to issue Finnish work permits.
