An investigation by Finland's Border Guard has led to criminal allegations against two people living in the country over claims they arranged an illegal entry scheme linked to entrepreneur residence permits.
The case began in April 2025 when an Iranian couple arrived at Helsinki Airport and presented Finnish entrepreneur residence permits during border checks. Border officers carried out further inspections after questions arose about the documents.
According to the Border Guard, official records showed the couple did not own, nor did they hold shares in, the restaurant business connected to their permits.
