Rosario Dawson’s mom had a lot to say after the actor was cut from the newest “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” movie. Dawson, who plays nurse Claire Temple in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently revealed that she was supposed to have a scene in the newest installment of the series. “I even shot a scene in the new ‘Spider-Man’ movie, but I got cut out,” she said to roars from the audience during an appearance at GalaxyCon in Raleigh, North Carolina. “I know. I love it, I told my mom, and she was like, ‘That sucks ― now I can’t post the pictures,’” Dawson said while laughing. “And I was like, ‘Right mom, me being cut out of the movie that has the largest viewership of a trailer ever ― the issue is you can’t post the BTS photos.’” The actor said that she shares a personal connection to Spider-Man. “There’s a frame in one of the new comics that has, like, a young Spider-Man talking to Daredevil. And they made it so that the young Spider-Man goes to P.S. 19 in the Lower East Side, which is where I went to elementary school,” Dawson said. “So when I tell you my post was already ready with like my BTS, with my grandson wearing all his Spider-Man stuff, ’cause he loves Spider-Man.”“Then I got the email that was like, ‘Yeah ― nah,’” she said. “So I’m a reject of ‘Spider-Man.’” While many fans were frustrated that Dawson’s scene was cut, others expressed surprise that Dawson, 47, is a grandmother.Dawson revealed in 2023 that she was becoming a “Glamma,” sharing that her daughter, Isabella, was expecting her first child.Dawson adopted Isabella in 2014, when Isabella was 11.
