Spencer G. Park (Yoon & Yang) South Korean law firm Yoon & Yang said Tuesday it has appointed Spencer G. Park, a California-qualified lawyer with nearly three decades of experience in cross-border transactions and global investment, as a senior foreign attorney in its Corporate Advisory Group.Park will advise Korean and multinational companies, financial institutions and investors on overseas mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments and international real estate transactions, the firm said.Before joining Yoon & Yang, Park served as special counsel at Milbank's Seoul office from 2022 to 2026. He previously worked at Dechert's Hong Kong office, advising on private equity, finance and real estate transactions across Asia.He also served as a senior foreign attorney at Bae, Kim & Lee and was a founding member of the firm's Hong Kong office.Park has also held senior legal and investment roles at global financial firms, including Asia-Pacific general counsel at Apollo Global Management from 2012 to 2016 and general counsel at Asia Pacific Land from 2008 to 2012.Earlier in his career, he worked at Capmark Japan and Citigroup Principal Investments Japan, focusing on real estate finance and investment.Yoon & Yang said Park's experience on both the legal advisory and investment sides would strengthen its capabilities in cross-border M&A, overseas investment, project finance and international real estate transactions."Demand from Korean companies and investors for overseas acquisitions and cross-border investments continues to grow," Yoon & Yang Managing Partner Lee Myung-soo said."Spencer's extensive experience spanning both leading international law firms and global investment institutions will further enhance Yoon & Yang's ability to provide sophisticated legal advice on cross-border M&A and international real estate investments."Park earned his law degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, formerly UC Hastings, and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in economics and East Asian studies.He was admitted to the California Bar in 1999 and has been registered as a foreign legal consultant with the Korean Bar Association since 2023.
