The closure of the runway from August 10 until December 17 will force around 3,000 flights to be cancelled or diverted to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.‌This equated to around 750 flights affected per month.‌Any passengers due to travel to the airport will need to check with their airline if their flight is as scheduled.Affected travellers may be offered to rebook to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport or to receive a refund. Paris-Orly and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport are located at opposite sides of Paris.‌It take around 45 minutes by car or over an hour by train to get between the two hubs.Airline easyJet has confirmed that it was asked to cancel flights from August 10 to October 24. Passengers were offered alternative flights.UK flights to and from the airport are generally operated by easyJet and Air France.
