Pollution and mass fish mortality have been reported in the water bodies of the Borshchahivka community in the Bucha district of the Kyiv region.
According to Ukrinform, the Borshchahivka Village Council reported this on Facebook.
“Mass fish mortality and signs of water pollution have been recorded in the water bodies of Sofiivska Borshchahivka. The situation is currently spreading toward the water bodies of Petropavlivska Borshchahivka,” the village council noted.
The relevant services have been immediately mobilized. Experts are inspecting the water bodies, collecting necessary samples, and determining the causes of the pollution and fish deaths.
Until the test results are available and a separate announcement is made, residents are asked to stay away from the water bodies and strictly observe the restrictions.
