The Nigeria Police Force has announced plans to host the sixth edition of the Conference and Retreat for Senior Police Officers to formulate security management strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The three-day event, tagged CARSPO 2026, is scheduled to take place from September 21 to 23, 2026, in Owerri, Imo State, in collaboration with Lenders Consult International.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, the conference is themed, “Developing a Nigeria Police Roadmap for Effective Management of Security During Elections.”
Iniedu stated that the retreat would gather senior police officers, security experts, and key stakeholders to address emerging electoral security challenges.
He noted that deliberations would focus on intelligence-led policing, community partnerships, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence to enhance operations before, during, and after elections.
