“The challenges facing our country, from infrastructure development to industrial growth and sustainability, require diverse perspectives, innovative thinking and collaborative leadership,” says Vashnee Naicker, Chief Operating Officer and shareholder of LNW Consulting Engineers and Project Managers. “When women are empowered to lead, innovate and contribute fully, we strengthen not only our companies but also South Africa's economy, infrastructure and future.”
Those words encapsulate Naicker's vision for the future of engineering and the philosophy that has shaped her own career. Over the past 14 years, she has built a career defined by determination, continuous learning and strong leadership, playing a key role in shaping the strategic direction and continued growth of LNW Consulting Engineers and Project Managers.
Her journey began while studying part-time towards a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering. Determined to build both a career and an education simultaneously, she joined LNW Consulting Engineers and Project Managers as a receptionist. Along the way, she completed a second degree in Management Accounting, helped deliver award-winning engineering projects, became the mother of two daughters and earned credibility in a profession that has traditionally been dominated by men.
