Whatnot, the live shopping platform that started by letting people auction off Funko Pops to strangers on the internet, just raised $545 million in a Series G round that values the company at $20 billion.
The round closed on August 7, 2026, led by ICONIQ, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Avra, with Kleiner Perkins and Wellington Management also participating. For co-founders Grant LaFontaine and Logan Head, who launched the company in December 2019, the valuation leap represents a staggering wealth creation event.
From Funko Pops to $20 billion
The company’s previous raise was a $225 million Series F in October 2025, which valued it at $11.5 billion. In roughly nine months, Whatnot nearly doubled that figure. Total funding since inception now sits at approximately $1.5 billion.
The platform’s gross merchandise value tells an even more dramatic story. Whatnot facilitated over $6 billion worth of sales in 2025, more than doubling its 2024 numbers. Cumulatively, the platform has processed over 1 billion orders.
