Madurai Corporation officials locked and sealed eight units making idols for using the banned plaster of paris on Tuesday.The unlicensed and unregistered units were functioning in Mattuthavani, Sambakulam and K. Pudur.A statement said that Public Health Officials sealed the units based on the directive of Madurai Corporation Commissioner, Gaurav Kumar, based the recommendations of Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board.
