Alongside its ongoing Back to School sale event, and as part of its daily deals, Best Buy is offering Acer’s Chromebook Plus Spin 714 for $499 shipped. This model originally launched at $699 and has more recently been listed for $799, so today’s deal knocks a solid $300 off its usual going rate. We saw the Spin 714 hit the same $499 price last month as part of a similar Deals of the Day offer, and today’s offer knocks it back to that price to go with Best Buy’s other back-to-school offers. Acer’s Chromebook Plus Spin 714 is a fairly compact notebook with a 14-inch touchscreen and a 360-degree hinge, so you can use it as a regular laptop or fold it back into tablet mode. This configuration comes with Intel’s Core Ultra 5 115U processor, 8GB of LPDDR5 memory, and a 256GB SSD, making it more powerful than many of the Chromebooks going on sale lately for Back to School. Acer also includes a one-year Google AI Pro subscription with this laptop to give you access to Gemini Advanced and other AI features. You get two Thunderbolt 4 ports, HDMI, and additional USB ports for connectivity, and there’s also a 1440p QHD webcam with a physical privacy shutter for video calls. The internals are all packed into an aluminum chassis, which gives the Spin 714 a more premium feel while keeping it relatively light and easy to carry.
