T-Mobile has finally shifted its 800MHz spectrum, as part of a spectrum swap deal with Grain Management that sees the telco pick up Grain's 600MHz assets.

As part of the planned swap, first announced last year, T-Mobile will offload its 800MHz spectrum to Grain for $2.9 billion, while scooping up 600MHz frequencies from the company as part of the exchange.

The deal has now been finalized and confirmed by T-Mobile today (August 11) around a month after the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approved the spectrum swap.

Grain has now acquired 4.85MHz to 14MHz of 800 MHz spectrum from T-Mobile in 3,224 counties, with T-Mobile snapping up 10 megahertz of 600 MHz spectrum from Grain in 212 counties.
