Communication on the enemy’s fronts will improve - everything is clear here,” Beskrestnov wrote on Facebook.The greater concern, he said, is an imbalance in the ability of the two countries to use satellite communications for drone operations.Ukraine is currently unable to use Starlink to control drones online over Russian territory because the service does not operate there, Beskrestnov said. Russia, however, could eventually use its own satellite network to control drones during attacks over Ukraine, he added.Russia has placed 16 Rassvet satellites in orbit and plans to increase the constellation to 292 satellites by 2027, according to Ukrainian military intelligence. The system currently provides intermittent connectivity but could become a full-fledged alternative to Starlink once more satellites are deployed, Major General Vadym Skibitsky said.Rassvet is being developed by the Russian aerospace company Bureau 1440 as a low-Earth-orbit broadband network. The company says the system is designed to provide high-speed internet through satellites linked to ground-based terminals.
