The production of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 is being increased by Samsung in increments of one million units because of the high consumer demand for the newest wide-screen foldable phone that surpassed the expectations of the company.
This decision comes as a result of the very good pre-orders Samsung had with its latest Galaxy Z Fold 8.This has been reported by a Korean website, called ETNews, which claimed that Samsung has placed orders for components with their suppliers to increase the production target of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 for the year to over three million units. It was also stated that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 would be produced in about 2.8 million units at the outset, which would make it the biggest Galaxy Z8 production of all of its foldable models.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra would have a production of about 2 million units while the Galaxy Z Flip 8 would get 1.5 million units. The extra 1 million units would significantly increase the production of the Fold 8.
It is happening because the company is trying to match the demand after the successful pre-ordering period and increasing popularity of its redesigned folding format. The company has already increased the production of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 line last year after exceeding their expectations from the demand of this phone.
