A newly released video of remarks by Mohammad Bagher Kharazi, a cleric and Secretary-General of Hezbollah of Iran, reveals him stating that Mojtaba Khamenei, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, was “expelled” from his father’s office for three years before assuming leadership. This development ultimately saved his life.

Kharazi claimed that had Mojtaba Khamenei been present at his father’s office during that period, he would have been killed. “If Mojtaba had not been banished from the office during those three years, he would have been martyred and killed,” Kharazi remarked.

He further alleged that Hossein Hijazi, Deputy Chief of Ali Khamenei’s office, along with other figures in the former leader’s inner circle, engineered conditions to exclude Mojtaba Khamenei from the complex.

“Hijazi and others stripped him of his position to the extent that the Leader made Hijazi the primary figure and asked Mojtaba not to interfere,” Kharazi stated.

Kharazi previously made headlines with claims regarding President Masoud Pezeshkian, alleging that Pezeshkian had resigned or threatened to resign 27 or 28 times. According to Kharazi, Mojtaba Khamenei responded by stating that if the president submits his resignation once more, it will be accepted.
