EXCLUSIVE: As Victoria Beckham's youngest is set to follow in her footsteps, a source claims it's welcome distraction from the pain that 'never leaves her'07:16, 11 Aug 2026Updated 07:17, 11 Aug 2026Behind the scenes, Victoria Beckham must still be in agony as the devastating family rift with eldest son Brooklyn continues - but a planned beauty range from daughter Harper is proving a timely distraction. The youngest of Victoria and David’s brood of four, fashionista Harper, 15, is set to launch her own skincare brand, named Harlo by Harper Beckham, with plans to roll out as soon as next year.Unsurprisingly, it’s thought her proud mother - already a highly-respected fashion designer with an equally lucrative beauty brand, will be there to guide and support her every step of the way.Indeed, a source tells us that the former Spice Girl, 51, is throwing everything at this, and is determined to make her only daughter the successor of Brand Beckham.“With this new Harlo skincare brand, Victoria is determined to make Harper her little mini-me”, they tell us.“Harper copies her and has watched her from a young age getting ready, she loves all the glam and enjoys going to all the fashion shows - unlike Brooklyn - and being a part of it. Her mum can see her passion.”Harper frequently dons custom outfits from mum Victoria’s fashion label, attends high-fashion events, and shares her mum’s elegant style, so it’s no surprise that she has decided to pursue a similar path. But amid the excitement of her daughter clearly following in her footsteps, Victoria is living a fresh hell when it comes to her eldest child.Brooklyn, 27, has been entirely estranged from the family since issuing a blistering missive in January, in which he accused them of ‘controlling’ him and branding them “performative”.And just last week, that rift couldn’t have been more marked, as David and Victoria alongside son Romeo, holidayed in celeb hotspot St Tropez. They were seen just five minutes away from where thei eldest was seen with his wife Nicola Peltz on the same day - the closest the family have been physically in months, as the estranged clan descended on the French Riviera at the same time - narrowly missing an awkward run-in.Brooklyn and actress Nicola, 31, were spotted on board Brooklyn’s godfather, Sir Elton John’s yacht - and on an ice-cream run with Elton’s husband, David Furnish. In one of a series of snaps shared to social media, Brooklyn looks carefree as he lays on the grass while in another he smiles beside Nicola, 31, who beamed with her arm wrapped around Elton.David commented: “So lovely having you both to stay with us……”, and also wrote underneath Nicola’s collection of snaps: “Such a lovely time we all spent together.”Though Sir Elton has reportedly ‘no interest’ in taking sides in the sad feud, for Victoria, it must have stung to see him spending time at his £15m Nice villa with the child she hasn’t physically seen for over a year.As our source maintains, everything the family does is tinged with sadness - and the secret hope that they will all turn a corner one day. They maintain, ““This new project is a distraction for Victoria, but it’s been torture for her. Brooklyn was so near to her, yet there’s no contact. She wakes up with this, goes to sleep with it. She’s trying to keep busy with work, but it never leaves her.“She doesn’t know how she’s going to cope without her son in her life. The pain only gets worse, because a day is another day apart. She thinks the longer this goes on, the more difficult it is to mend it. Victoria is distraught, heartbroken and devastated. She’s always hoping for a reconciliation.”Of their clashing St Tropez trip, they add, “The Beckhams were holidaying right around the corner from Brooklyn and it’s a painful reminder for Victoria. But it doesn’t ever leave her - whether he’s a mile away or a million miles away - it hurts so much.“For him to be with Elton John, who was their friend as well... It’s dividing friendships and family and she can’t see it getting better. Elton is trying to be the peacemaker, but Victoria took it very badly. But she’s got huge support from friends and family around her.”Meanwhile, Victoria will - as she does best - keep her head held high through the heartache and channel plenty of positivity into her daughter’s exciting new venture. As someone who launched her own now globally successful beauty brand back in 2019, she is in the perfect position to guide her teenage daughter, and verse her in the pitfalls of the industry.During her Netflix documentary Victoria Beckham, released last October, the fashion doyenne admitted that she knew very little about the fashion industry when she first decided to bravely take a new direction away from her career with the Spice Girls. In one episode, she admitted, “When I first started this fashion business, 18 years ago, I didn’t know a lot about the industry. I was scared. I was scared because I loved fashion and it was always my dream, but I knew what people thought. ‘She was a pop star, she’s married to a footballer. Who does she think she is?’”It’s certainly not been an easy journey for her, with the fashion brand facing financial difficulties over the years, and her struggles to be taken seriously in the industry.Victoria went on to say: “I’ve now earned my place in this industry, and I have to work hard to maintain that. The other reason is I love this industry, so if I can use my voice to shine a light on the incredible talents, passion, hard work and just how multifaceted it is, then that’s great.”Now, it seems Harper will carry on the mantle. But behind the Beckham family’s happy, united front, one imagines for doting parents Victoria and David, there remains an agonising piece of the jigsaw missing.Like this story?
