Kelce and Mahomes have moved to dismiss the case…”But that’s not all; the source added that the sneaker company who filed the lawsuit against Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes have refused to believe their versions as they have been accused of painting themselves as 'two distant celebrities that are mere promotional 'pretty faces' of the alleged infringing enterprise with no New York ties…'"The source added, "For now, the case remains ongoing. "Neither the popular tight end Travis Kelce nor the quarterback Patrick Mahomes has responded to the drama in public as they remain distant from it.Why were Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce sued?For the unversed, 1587 Steakhouse was launched by Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes last year in September. The name was placed after their iconic jersey numbers, “15” belonging to Patrick Mahomes and “87” belonging to Travis Kelce.But things soon took a turn for the worse when a sneaker company by the name 1587 filed a lawsuit against Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce for copyright infringement.Interestingly, 1587 Steakhouse has also received a lot of negative reviews from fans which has only made things more difficult for the duo.A month after the steakhouse’s launch last year, Patrick Mahomes opened up about his new venture in an interview with the Kansas City Star as he said, “I think it’s just a cool place we can call our own — and hopefully Kansas City can call their own…”The Super Bowl champion added, “I went there a couple weeks ago, and I was in the private room, and I’m sitting there, and they were like, ‘Hey, Chris Oladokun’s outside, and Chris Jones is outside, and George Karlaftis was there the other day.’”Patrick Mahomes also weighed in on owning the restaurant with Travis Kelce as he added, “It’s amazing, but you can only eat at the same place so many times…It really is cool because you hear about legends having their own restaurants, but to have one with Trav in a place that I love, that I’ll be at for the rest of my life, is cool.”At this point in time, all eyes remain on Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes’ performance in the new season.
