Former Manu Samoa captain Chris Vui will be a main feature in a documentary highlighting high-profiled athletes from different sporting backgrounds who have experienced positive tests linked to alleged inadvertent contamination or unintentional doping.
Independent Scottish production company Tusitala film is producing the film titled "Spiked" that intimately follows 33-year-old Chris Vui and his young family when their life turned upside down after his ban in 2023.
Widely regarded as one of the best lock forwards in the world, Vui is now working as a truck driver after testing positive for 19-norandrosterone, an indicator of the anabolic steroid in 2023, which he fiercely denies intentionally taking.
He is at the heart of the documentary, telling his story after being tested positive for the prohibited substance.
“I’m a victim of steroid contamination. This is my story,” Vui said in the documentary teaser provided to the Samoa Observer.
