Bogotá (EFE).- At least 132 people died, and over 570 were injured in Colombia as a result of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck the country on Monday, according to a preliminary report from the Colombian Association of Capital Cities (Asocapitales).

Pereira, the capital of Risaralda, a department bordering San José del Palmar, Chocó, the earthquake’s epicenter, has the highest number of fatalities, with 60 deaths.

​The earthquake struck at 7:34 am local time on Monday at a depth of 82 kilometers (50 miles), according to the Colombian Geological Service (SGC).EFE
