Meanwhile, explosions rang out across Kyiv shortly after midnight after authorities warned of incoming missiles. AFP journalists in the capital heard a series of loud blasts as air raid sirens sounded. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said the capital was “under ballistic missile attack” and that emergency crews had been dispatched to the Shevchenkivskyi district. At least one person was wounded in Kyiv. Warehouses in a central district caught fire during the attack, according to the city military administration. The air raid alert lasted around 40 minutes before the all-clear was declared.
