A woman was killed and several people were wounded as Russia launched another massive combined missile and drone attack on Kyiv overnight, striking residential buildings and other sites across the Ukrainian capital. In the Obolonskyi district, a suspected missile strike set fire to a 20-story residential building. Another residential building, an office building and warehouses were also reported damaged or burning. In the Holosiivskyi district, part of a private residential house was destroyed, with authorities initially warning that people could be trapped beneath the rubble. A separate strike on a non-residential site in the district caused an ammonia leak, prompting emergency crews to respond. In the Desnianskyi district, a warehouse caught fire and missile debris fell near a residential building. Fires were also reported at warehouse facilities in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said repeated explosions at one location damaged an ambulance and injured its driver. Several jet-powered Russian drones were also detected over Kyiv’s left bank during the assault as air-defense units worked to eliminate the threat, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration. A large fire was also reported outside the capital in the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn area, where non-residential buildings were burning.
