In the Odesa region on the evening of August 10, a MiG-29 aircraft was lost while performing a combat mission; the pilot ejected.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
“On the evening of August 10, 2026, a MiG-29 fighter jet of the Air Force was lost while performing a combat mission. The pilot was carrying out a combat mission to destroy enemy air targets in the Odesa region,” the statement reads.
According to preliminary data, an emergency occurred during the launch of an air-to-air missile, causing the aircraft to catch fire and the pilot to lose control, although he attempted to save the aircraft.
