Aug. 10 (UPI) -- MGM+ is teasing the new series American Hostage.
The streaming service shared a trailer and first-look photos for the show Monday featuring Mad Men actor Jon Hamm.
American Hostage is the first season in a thriller anthology series based on the podcast of the same name.
Season 1 revisits the story of Fred Heckman (Hamm), "a beloved Indianapolis radio reporter who is thrust into the middle of a life-or-death crisis when hostage-taker Tony Kiritsis demands to be interviewed on his popular radio news program," an official synopsis reads.
