Osun Election: Adeleke Campaign Alleges APC Plot To End Voting By Noon In Governor’s Strongholds

According to the council, the move is aimed at suppressing votes and disenfranchising thousands of eligible voters in the affected areas.

The Imole Campaign Council has raised the alarm over an alleged plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to pressure the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) into abruptly ending voting by noon in selected local government areas of Osun State during the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

The campaign council, in a statement signed by its spokesman, Pelumi Olajengbesi, Esq., on Monday, stated that the purported plan was targeted at local government areas considered political strongholds of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

According to the council, the move is aimed at suppressing votes and disenfranchising thousands of eligible voters in the affected areas.

The council described the plan as a threat to the credibility of the election and called on INEC to ensure that voters who present themselves within the stipulated voting period are allowed to exercise their constitutional rights.
