OpenAI is shaking up its enterprise pricing with a new premium tier for ChatGPT Business, offering seats at $125 per user per month, or $100 per user with annual billing. The move sits alongside the company’s standard Business seats, which remain priced at $25 per user monthly or $20 with an annual commitment, creating a clear good-better split for organizations shopping for AI tools.
From Team to Business: what actually changed
The ChatGPT Business plan itself isn’t entirely new. OpenAI rebranded what was previously called ChatGPT Team into ChatGPT Business on August 29, 2025. But the rebrand came with more than a name change.
Standard seats require a minimum purchase of two and include shared workspaces, administrative controls, single sign-on (SSO), and a privacy guarantee that no business data gets used to train OpenAI’s models.
OpenAI also trimmed the standard seat price by $5 back on April 2, 2026, bringing the monthly rate down from $30 to $25 and the annual rate from $25 to $20.
