Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis spoke on the phone Monday with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, the Greek Foreign Ministry said in a social media post.
The conversation examined developments in the Middle East and the eastern Mediterranean, while the two ministers also spoke of the progress attained in the framework of Greece and Egypt’s strategic partnership and agreed on the need to further boost bilateral cooperation.
They confirmed their common approach on matters of regional significance and their commitment to close coordination with a view to boosting regional security, the post said.
