Make-Up Robot Prototype Wins Top Hackathon Prize | Silicon UK

A prototype robot arm capable of applying make-up to a person’s face has won an award at a physical AI hackathon in Hong Kong.

The event, hosted by Brizan Ventures along with SpaceMiT and Aloop.ai, ran for 48 hours, from 2 to 5 August, and was billed as the city’s first event of its kind focussed on applying AI to physical tasks – a growing area of interest.

It drew more than 1,000 applicants worldwide, before narrowing to 160 finalists, nearly 80 percent of them students.
