Limpopo police are investigating a carjacking and kidnapping after a stolen Toyota Land Cruiser was recovered abandoned in the Limpopo River following an armed attack on a farm in Tshamutumbu.
Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for four armed suspects who allegedly kidnapped a farm worker during a carjacking in Tshamutumbu before abandoning his stolen vehicle in the Limpopo River.
The incident occurred at a farm in the Vhembe District on Saturday morning, prompting police to open investigations into charges of carjacking and kidnapping.
Police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba said the victim was working on the farm when he was confronted by four unidentified suspects armed with a firearm and a knife.
“It is alleged that at about 11.30am, the victim was busy at the farm when he was approached by four unknown suspects armed with a firearm and a knife,” Ledwaba said.
