Some 60,000 rural home and business premises across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire have been connected to fibre-optic broadband, under the government-backed Project Gigabit scheme.
The premises were connected by operator Quickline across four contract areas, two of which are in northern and western Yorkshire, one in south Yorkshire, and one in Lincolnshire and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
In addition to the rural rollout, Quickline is also offering standard commercial fibre services.
