The Kogi State Police Command and the Nigerian Army have intensified a forest search for victims of a reported kidnapping along the Okene-Auchi Road, deploying tactical teams and drones across suspected criminal hideouts.
PUNCH Metro learnt this from a statement issued on Sunday by the command’s spokesperson, ASP Afusat Salisu.
Salisu stated that the rescue operation was being conducted through the coordinated deployment of police and military personnel to forest areas suspected to be used as hideouts by the perpetrators.
“Immediately following the incident, the Command activated its rescue response and commenced intelligence-driven bush-combing operations across identified forest corridors within the Okene–Ajokuta axis, particularly around the Ebiya Forest and adjoining areas.
