Vathy, the island’s capital, sits at the head of a sheltered natural harbor lined with colorful neoclassical houses, cafés, restaurants, and sailing boats. During the summer, yachts from across the Ionian drop anchor here, giving the waterfront a lively but relaxed atmosphere.
