The victims were rescued on Saturday, August 8, 2026, after troops received credible intelligence that terrorists had kidnapped commuters travelling through the Magazu area of Tsafe LGA.
Troops of the Joint Task Force North-West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 33 passengers abducted by terrorists in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The victims were rescued on Saturday, August 8, 2026, after troops received credible intelligence that terrorists had kidnapped commuters travelling through the Magazu area of Tsafe LGA.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by the JTF North-West Media Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Aliyu Danja, troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, working alongside personnel of the Nigeria Police Force deployed in Tsafe, immediately mobilised to the area following the report.
