Home Minister V. Anitha on Sunday expressed grief over the death of medical student M. Priyanka, who died at a private hospital in Hyderabad after she was injured in a hit-and-run accident in Rajamahendravaram on August 3.Ms. Anitha said the government would stand by Priyanka’s family and extend all possible support to them during the difficult time.In a statement, the Home Minister said Priyanka’s death was deeply distressing and conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.Strongly condemning the incident, Ms. Anitha said the police had already arrested the accused in the case and remanded them in judicial custody.
