The MKB Nagar All Women police in Chennai arrested a 34-year-old doctor for misbehaving with a 20-year-old nurse in Kodungaiyur on Saturday (August 8, 2026). City Police said the woman works as a nurse in a private hospital located in Manali Salai of Kodungaiyur. In the same hospital, Syed Masth Ahamed works as a doctor. On Friday (August 7) evening, when the nurse was attending a patient, the duty doctor Syed Masth Ahamed tried to misbehave with the nurse.Based on the complaint filed by the victim, the MKB Nagar All Women Police filed a case and after investigation, arrested the doctor under three sections of the BNS Act and one section of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women (TNPHW) Act.
