The founder of the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation and the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards, Emmanuel Anabueze, has called for stronger collaboration among the government, private sector, civil society organisations and individuals to deepen humanitarian development in Nigeria.
In a statement sent to Society Plus, Anabueze said although many Nigerians are making significant humanitarian contributions, the country’s growing social challenges require collective action and greater recognition for those driving change.
“There are many committed humanitarian actors in Nigeria, but the scale of our challenges requires stronger collaboration. Government, businesses, nonprofits and individuals must work together if we are to achieve sustainable development,” he said.
He noted that many humanitarian workers remain unrecognised despite their impact, adding that the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards was established to celebrate individuals and organisations transforming lives through service.
