Gaza needs fewer agreements and more action

In a region short of good news, the sudden announcement of an agreement that could eventually result in the disarmament of Hamas in Gaza, Israel’s withdrawal from this tiny but densely populated territory, and the transfer of governance to the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza is a step in the right direction. At the same time, there are valid questions and doubts about whether this will finally lead to a breakthrough. After all, this is a place that has witnessed many false dawns.
