Leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress in Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State have endorsed President Bola Tinubu for a second term and backed Governor Usman Ododo for another term in office.
The endorsement was made on Saturday at a meeting of APC stakeholders representing the 15 wards in the local government, held in Iyara, the Ijumu Local Government headquarters.
In a statement issued after the meeting, the APC Local Government Chairman, Oyewole Solomon, said the gathering brought together ward executives, government appointees at the federal, state and local government levels, former political office holders and other party leaders and members.
According to Solomon, the stakeholders resolved to support Tinubu’s re-election based on what they described as the achievements of his administration and the appointment of several Ijumu indigenes to strategic positions in the Federal Government.
