SAN ANTONIO, ZAMBALES, Philippines — Several areas in this province experienced unscheduled power interruptions on Saturday evening (Aug. 8) as heavy rains and strong winds affected parts of Zambales.
According to an advisory from the Zambales Electric Cooperative II (Zameco II), an outage that started at 6:08 p.m. affected the entire areas of Looc and Nagbayan, as well as portions of Magsaysay, San Agustin, Sta. Maria, Nagbunga, San Pablo, San Roque and Del Pilar in Castillejos town.
Zameco II said the interruption was caused by a line trouble brought about by heavy rain and strong winds. Its personnel were conducting patrols of power lines as of the latest advisory, with the duration of the outage still undetermined.
