Fiery human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, SAN, has decried the killing of at least 30 people in politically motivated violence in Osun State over the forthcoming governorship election.
He regretted that the ongoing controversy over the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) freezing of the State Government account has overshadowed the killings which he described as the more urgent crisis in the state.
Falana made the remarks on Friday night while speaking on Politics Today, programme on Channels Television, where he warned that unless those responsible for the killings are arrested and prosecuted immediately, more lives could be lost ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.
