Prof. Mubarak Adekilekun (SAN), counsel to the Osun State government, has revealed that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) acted contrary to the law by restricting access to the state's statutory allocation account without serving the required court order.
Adekilekun made the assertion on Friday during an appearance on Channels Television's Politics Today, amid the controversy surrounding the anti-graft agency's directive placing a Post No Debit (PND) restriction on the account.
According to the senior lawyer, neither the Osun State government nor First Bank, which operates the account, was served with any court order authorising the restriction.
