NewsUK NewsTributes have poured in for a much-loved dad remembered as a “wonderful” man after the fatal A40 incident in Carmarthen.09:19, 08 Aug 2026Updated 09:27, 08 Aug 2026Tributes have been paid to a “wonderful" and "generous” husband and father who died after being hit by several vehicles on a major A road.‌Gerard Trojanowski, 44, was pronounced dead after emergency services were called to the A40 in Carmarthen at around 9.50pm on July 28.‌Dyfed-Powys Police said officers had responded following concerns for the safety of a pedestrian. Several vehicles, including a marked police vehicle which was on patrol, collided with Gerard, according to the force.‌Gerard, who lived in the Merthyr Tydfil area, has now been named by police.In a tribute reported by Wales Online, his family said: “Gerard was a loving husband and father. A wonderful and generous person with a good heart.
