The Supreme Council of Tijaniyya Worldwide on Friday condoled with President Bola Tinubu over the passing of Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi, the former leader of the Tijaniyya Islamic organisation in Nigeria, who died on November 26, 2025, at the age of 98.

A delegation of the council, drawn from Algeria, Nigeria and Senegal and representing more than 400 million members of the organisation worldwide, conveyed its condolences during a visit to the President at the State House, Abuja.

In a statement signed on Friday, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, said the delegation included members of the Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Foundation, led by Khalifa Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

Dare disclosed that the condolence message was delivered by the Khalifa of Tijaniyya in Algeria, Sheikh Ali Bin Arabi.
