Todd Blanche’s nomination to be President Donald Trump’s next (permanent) U.S. attorney general was suddenly pulled from the jaws of defeat Friday in the least surprising way possible: a supposedly undecided Republican senator, serving out the rest of his term as lame duck after being targeted by our vindictive president, revealed that he would, in fact, vote for the thing Trump wanted.
