The cereal maker will also remove the preservative BHT from its packaging, completing both changes before the end of this year

WK Kellogg $K Co announced Thursday it will eliminate artificial colors and the preservative BHT from its full cereal portfolio by the end of 2026, one year ahead of its original commitment.
The company said manufacturing of the updated cereals — including Kellogg's Froot Loops and Kellogg's Apple $AAPL Jacks — is set to get underway later this year, with the reformulated products expected to reach store shelves before 2026 closes out. WK Kellogg will source new coloring from fruit and vegetable juices and similar plant-derived inputs, and has made capital investments in its production facilities to enable the switch.
