Since the beginning of 2026, Russians have carried out 287 attacks on Naftogaz Group facilities, exceeding the number of attacks during the entire year of 2025. The intensified strikes are increasing the need for financial support for Naftogaz.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the company’s press service.
"During the annual meeting of the heads of Ukraine’s foreign diplomatic missions, acting chairman of the board of Naftogaz Serhii Fedorenko said that since the beginning of 2026, Naftogaz Group facilities have been hit by 287 Russian attacks — more than during the entire year of 2025 and the first three years of the full-scale war combined. Despite unprecedented pressure, the company continues to produce gas, restore damaged facilities, and prepare for winter," the statement said.
During the event, Naftogaz Group handed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine a list of priority international projects, the implementation of which is critically important for preparations for the next heating season. The list includes projects to attract grant funding for the purchase of additional natural gas volumes, conclude contracts for the supply of backup equipment, obtain technical assistance for restoring damaged infrastructure, and diversify gas supply sources and routes.
