Marta Kostyuk just won’t stop winning. The 24-year-old Ukrainian notched her 24th win in her last 26 matches after sweeping aside No. 19 seed Madison Keys 6-3, 6-1 at the National Bank Open presented by Rogers in Toronto. Kostyuk was 0-2 against the American before Thursday, but she never looked in doubt during her 72-minute victory. The Ukrainian won two tournaments this spring, including a maiden WTA 1000 title in Madrid. Swiatek dropped a total of six games in her opening two matches in Toronto, but Kostyuk is a far greater threat. Two months ago at Roland Garros, the Ukrainian delivered a stunning 7-5, 6-1 win over the six-time major winner.Swiatek leads the head-to-head 3-1 and dominated their two hardcourt meetings, both in 2024.
