MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) on Friday said that the Villar Group of Companies agreed to the agency’s terms for the construction of the Las Piñas station of the Light Rail Transit 1 (LRT-1).
Last week, Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez said the agency will meet with the Villar Group this week regarding its donation of six parcels of land where the station is expected to be built.

“This development is good for DOTr, LRMC [Light Rail Manila Corporation], and the Villar Group, but best for the commuting public. Itong pagkakasundo natin, talagang commuters ang pangunahing makikinabang, at ‘yun naman talaga dapat ang priority natin,” Lopez said.
